Uruguay coach Diego Forlán omitted Luis Suárez from a 46-man provisional squad announced for an Asia tour including a friendly against India in Kolkata on October 6. The roster features 21 World Cup 2026 players including Federico Valverde, Ronald Araújo and Darwin Núñez. Forlán returns to the senior role and will also lead matches against Japan and South Korea in late September.
