The Indian Junior Women’s Hockey team returned home after defending the Women’s Junior Asia Cup title in Muscat, Oman. India defeated China 1-1 (3-2 in shootouts) in the Final to lift the trophy. Star player Deepika was India’s top performer, finishing as the tournament's leading scorer with 12 goals, including five from penalty corners. India dominated the Pool stage with big wins over Malaysia, Bangladesh, and Thailand but lost 2-1 to China, where Deepika scored India’s only goal.
