The Noise-Free Nations Index, compiled annually by African tour company Go2Africa using seven measures including population and visitor concentration, transport infrastructure and protected areas, ranks the world's quietest countries. The latest index identifies Bhutan, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Gabon, Venezuela, Chad and the Central African Republic as the eight most noise-free nations, noted for extensive wilderness and low human density.
