Dr. Rasha Kelej, CEO of Merck Foundation, urged families and communities to believe in girls’ potential and support their education through the Educating Linda program and partnerships with African First Ladies. Scholarships help, but lasting progress requires changing expectations, providing time, resources and encouragement so girls can pursue careers and overcome cultural barriers that limit opportunities.
