Raised on October 8, 1932 in Karachi with four Wapiti biplanes, the Indian Air Force has grown into the world's fourth-largest air arm. Operating Su-30MKI, Rafale, Tejas and other platforms, it fields about 29 squadrons versus a sanctioned 42. Now transforming into a networked aerospace power with IACCS, drones and long-range airlift, it also leads international exercises and humanitarian missions.
