The BBC has commissioned a two-part documentary examining J.K. Rowling's career, from her bookish childhood and the creation of Harry Potter to her post-series interventions on Scottish independence, feminism, free speech and gender identity. Featuring archive interviews, the film, made without her involvement, probes her cultural influence and the divisive debates her personal views have provoked.
