An SUV owner in Pune was exposed after a viral video showed a button-activated black shutter sliding over the vehicle's number plate on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway. Authorities traced the Fortuner to Tathawade, found a wired concealment device and discovered 55 unpaid traffic fines totaling Rs 122,000, mostly for speeding. The RTO fined Rs 4,500 for the unauthorised modification and summoned the owner and vehicle for inspection.
