Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said environmental protection is not just the government's responsibility and urged active public participation. He warned against abrupt tourism restrictions that would harm livelihoods, highlighted climate impacts such as erratic snowfall, water scarcity, landslides and floods, and called for waste reduction and resource conservation.
