Russian rolling stock company Transmashholding (TMH) plans to expand beyond its Vande Bharat sleeper coach project in India, aiming to make the country an export hub. CEO Kirill Lipa, speaking to Indian journalists in Moscow, emphasized India’s importance due to its large population and growing cities, where rail transport is vital. TMH, with an annual capacity of over 1,500 passenger coaches, sees opportunities in manufacturing EMUs, Metro trains, and sleeper coaches, leveraging its expertise in train production.
