After facing financial hardship, family rejection and several odd jobs, Manasi found a new path through professional driving. Trained under Azad Foundation’s Women on Wheels programme, she went on to become one of Kolkata’s early women cab drivers and the first driver selected for the city’s Pink Cab initiative. Her journey reflects her struggle for financial independence in a male-dominated profession.
