Gen Z protesters, student groups and civil society organisations gathered at Ranchi’s Albert Ekka Chowk on October 2, joining demonstrations in several cities over electoral reforms. Protesters called for changes to the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls and sought the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, while also raising concerns around voting rights, transparency and accountability.
