President Droupadi Murmu has urged AIIMS Bilaspur’s first graduating batch to take their medical skills to Himachal Pradesh’s remote and rural areas, where doctors are often reluctant to serve. At the institute’s first convocation, she also called for greater use of telemedicine and stressed that doctors need both professional competence and compassion while treating patients.
