Israeli dentist Shota Musaev, an ordinary passenger on flydubai flight FZ1073, improvised pressure dressings and ice packs to stabilise injured pilot Smit Machchhar after an apparent hijack attempt by the co-pilot. Machchhar suffered a skull fracture and deep cuts; Musaev tended him for about 45 minutes during diversion to Saudi Arabia. The pilot is recovering in the UAE.
