Parveen Hooda secured India’s 13th gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games after beating Chinese Taipei’s Chen Nien-Chin 3-2 in the women’s 65kg boxing final. The victory marks a major comeback for Hooda, whose Hangzhou bronze was revoked after a previous 22-month suspension for a whereabouts violation. She becomes only the third Indian woman boxer to reach an Asian Games final.
