Parineeti Chopra recalled Sushant Singh Rajput's joyful reaction after she received a National Film Award Special Mention for Ishaqzaade, saying he celebrated on a pool deck with Rishi Kapoor, hugged her and made her cry. The co-stars, who acted together in Shuddh Desi Romance, discussed future projects and shared intellectual conversations. Rajput was later found dead in his Bandra apartment in June 2020.
