Once a Begum’s summer escape, this forgotten palace now stands in chilling silence, holding stories of a glorious past.

Benazeer Palace in Bhopal, built in 1877 for Shahjahan Begum, once impressed with advanced ventilation, perfume chambers, water-engineered fountains and monsoon-mimicking features. Now largely abandoned after fires and neglect, the heritage building near Taj-ul-Masajid and Motia Talab suffers decay despite past restorations and proposals to convert it into a heritage hotel.
