On September 29, 2026, Bhubaneswar marked World Heart Day with community-focused events emphasizing prevention, early recognition of cardiac emergencies, and mass CPR/AED training. Students, educators, and medical professionals from KIIT, KIMS and KISS participated in walkathons and hands-only CPR sessions led by Dr. Vemuri S. Murthy and supported by Prof. Achyuta Samanta.
