Indian wrestler Nitesh Siwach has reached the Greco-Roman 97kg final at the 2026 Asian Games, becoming the first Indian to reach a final in the discipline since 1962. The 23-year-old defeated Turkmenistan’s Amanberdi Agamammedov 7-1 before beating Mongolia’s Gankhuyag Ganbaatar 9-0 in the semifinals. Nitesh, who once quit wrestling after a knee injury, will now fight Japan’s Yuri Nakazato for gold.
