Nepal is moving to establish a 50-hectare tiger sanctuary as rising tiger numbers bring more animals into human settlements and increase conflict. The National Trust for Nature Conservation has signed an agreement with The Wild Animal Sanctuary to develop natural enclosures, a veterinary hospital and conservation facilities. The sanctuary will provide long-term care for conflict tigers without commercial use or breeding.
