Negotiators are meeting in Yerevan for CBD COP17 (Oct 19 to 30) ahead of COP31 in Antalya to assess progress on the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework’s 23 targets, including 30x30, ecosystem restoration and finance commitments. With many national targets off track, COP17 will evaluate implementation gaps, finance, indigenous rights, the Cali Fund and actions needed to meet 2030 goals.
