Mumbai Police has denied permission for the Cockroach Janata Party’s planned October 2 protest at Shivaji Park, citing court orders restricting gatherings at the venue. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke said the group would consider a “Jail Bharo Andolan” if protesters are denied permission. Police advised organisers to seek an alternative venue, while Dipke questioned why other events had previously been allowed at Shivaji Park.
