Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay announced plans for a Motor Sports City in Chennai with an international-standard circuit able to host Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3 and Formula 4 events, alongside programs for talent identification and training. The initiative aims to boost sports tourism, vehicle manufacturing, jobs and the state's motorsport ecosystem while supporting efforts to bring Formula 1 back to India.
