At the India Mobile Congress 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged establishment of a global framework to combat cyber fraud, deepfakes and cross-border digital crimes. He called on GSMA, telecom operators, governments, technology firms and financial institutions to jointly develop mechanisms to prevent fraud before it reaches people, and offered India's readiness to assist.
