Missouri court blocks Trump-backed US House map and orders it to be put to a vote

The Missouri Supreme Court blocked new congressional districts backed by President Trump from being used in the November election and ordered a statewide referendum to uphold or reject the map after citizens filed petition signatures. The ruling pauses districts used in August primaries, could be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court, and stems from disputes over mid-decade redistricting that targeted the Kansas City-area 5th District.
