Mandeep Singh made history by becoming the first Indian player to play 100 matches in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He achieved this milestone during Tripura's league match against Saurashtra in Indore, where Saurashtra won by 4 wickets. Mandeep, who captained Tripura in the tournament, debuted in the T20 league for Punjab in 2010 and played regularly for them for over a decade. In the 2023/24 season, he led Punjab to a title before moving to Tripura, where they finished sixth.
