Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra told the Supreme Court that the West Bengal BJP government has obstructed her parliamentary duties by stalling MPLAD-funded projects, hindering visits to her Krishnanagar constituency and permitting harassment by goons. With her counsel unavailable, the solicitor general questioned whether she should have approached the Calcutta High Court first. Moitra said about Rs 3.5 crore in development work has been stalled.
