The high-speed Vande Bharat will run at 100 kmph on the newly completed Katra-Banihal section of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link starting October 2, per an order from the Northern Railway Senior Divisional Operations Manager. Approval followed CRS recommendation and a principal engineer inspection, raising the previous 85 kmph and 75 kmph limits; OMS tests recorded speeds of 110, 115 kmph.
