ISRO is adding a new space-tracking facility near Guwahati under Project NETRA, giving India a sharper eye on satellites and space debris. The facility will help track objects in orbit, support collision-avoidance decisions and improve space-weather and weather monitoring. It will also contribute to flood warnings and lightning nowcasting, making it useful far beyond the final frontier.
