India Achieves Breakthrough in Hemophilia A Treatment

India has made a breakthrough in treating severe Hemophilia A with gene therapy. The Centre for Stem Cell Research at Christian Medical College, Vellore, conducted a study where five patients received the therapy and experienced no bleeding episodes for a long time. This marks India's first human gene therapy for Hemophilia A. The results were published in the New England Journal of Medicine, highlighting this significant achievement in medical science.
