Team AgniRath from IIT Madras claimed third place overall at the Sasol Solar Challenge 2026 in South Africa, becoming the first Indian team to compete and win a trophy there. Their student-built solar car Aagneya covered 1,192.6 km over eight days, highlighting engineering skill, sustainable mobility innovation, teamwork, and discipline on the global stage.
