An IIT Delhi alumna and her team developed a lithium-ion battery-powered refrigeration system for trucks that eliminates engine idling and reduces diesel use, enabling six to eight hours of independent cooling and door-sensor management. The startup claims it cuts refrigeration operating costs by about 75 percent and can prevent roughly three to 36 tonnes of CO2 emissions per unit annually, depending on use.
