‘How Many Cigarettes Have You “Smoked” Today?’ NTU Student Builds Website That Turns Singapore’s Haze Readings Into a Cigarette Count

NTU student Zi Heng, 21, built a website that translates Singapore's PM2.5 haze readings into an estimate of cigarettes-worth of fine-particle exposure, using Berkeley Earth metrics and NEA data. The site shows one-hour, three-hour and 24-hour PSI equivalents across regions, warns users it is not medical advice, and aims to make haze risks easier to understand.
