Suchika Tariyal won a historic bronze in the women's traditional -60kg MMA at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026, earning India's first Asian Games medal in MMA. She beat Mongolia's Altanchimeg Baigalmaa 2-0 in the quarterfinals and lost a narrow, overtime semifinal to Singapore's Hui Hoon Teo, which secured bronze. Tariyal has a background in judo, kurash and Jiu-Jitsu and returned to MMA in 2024.
