Fifth-semester computer engineering student Sarvesh Sharma has secured ₹3.5 crore from the Defence Ministry to develop a surveillance drone for high-altitude border areas. His Rudra Edge T-1 project, backed through iDEX and linked with IIT Roorkee for technical support, aims to explore radar-resistant and jam-resistant capabilities. Sharma initially spent ₹87,000 developing the idea after finishing fourth in a national drone competition.
