Amid US-China tensions, Google plans to stop making Pixel smartphones, smartwatches and wireless earbuds in China from next year and diversify supply chains by expanding manufacturing in Vietnam and India. The company aims to move all Pixel production out of China by 2027, increase shipments by about 8 to 10 percent from roughly 12 million units, and use smartphones to grow Gemini AI users.
