After days of protests in Nashik, tribal students travelled to Mumbai by bus and on foot to raise concerns over scholarships, facilities in ashram schools and hostels, and other demands linked to the tribal development department. The students planned to protest at Azad Maidan, but Maharashtra Congress alleged that several were detained by police around 3 am before the demonstration.
