Ranu Devi worked as a sanitation worker at BIT Mesra in Ranchi for 26 years, initially earning just ₹400 a week and now about ₹15,000 monthly, sacrificing for her children's education. Her daughter, Aarti Kumari, completed a PhD in engineering from the same institute, aided by scholarships, becoming the first woman from Turup village to achieve this milestone.
