A YouTuber in Haridwar documented a social experiment at the Kanwar Mela where a friend posed as a beggar, wearing tattered clothes and a UPI QR code. After hours of ups and downs, rain, and being chased by guards, they collected about Rs 4,000, estimating a monthly equivalent near Rs 1.2 lakh. They warned viewers against begging and urged honest work.
