India's cheetah population has risen to 60 after KJP21, an Indian-born female, delivered five healthy cubs at Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh. KJP21 is the third India-born mother to reproduce under Project Cheetah. The cubs carry a Botswana genetic lineage, introduced after nine cheetahs were relocated from Botswana to Kuno in February 2025.
