In 2020 Google and Facebook (now Meta) invested heavily in Reliance's Jio Platforms, buying minority stakes. By 2025 those ties evolved into strategic AI and cloud partnerships: a Meta-Reliance enterprise AI joint venture and a Google Cloud AI region in Jamnagar. Reliance provides connectivity, infrastructure and energy to scale AI services across India.
