Eklingji Temple in Udaipur Bans Mobile Phones and Short Dresses

Eklingji Temple in Udaipur has banned mobile phones and short dresses to maintain the sanctity of the shrine. Previously, visitors could carry switched-off phones, but now all phones are prohibited. Pets and weapons also remain banned. The decision came after complaints about inappropriate attire inside the temple. The management urged devotees to follow the new rules. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Eklingji Temple, located 22 km from Udaipur, was built by Bappa Rawal (734-753 AD) and renovated by Maharana Mokal (1421-1433 AD).
