Delhi is introducing Khandit Murti Kendra centres where devotees can respectfully dispose of pooja materials without putting them into the Yamuna. The initiative plans 250 centres across the capital, along with artificial ponds for festival idol immersions such as Ganesh Chaturthi. The aim is to offer a more eco-friendly way to manage religious materials while helping keep the Yamuna cleaner.
