The Delhi Jal Board approved a ₹17,969.93 crore, 10-year 'One Zone, One Operator' sewer overhaul to divide Delhi into eight zones for planned preventive maintenance, geo-tagged inspections, and robotic cleaning. It also okayed a ₹6,044.05 crore South Delhi water overhaul, tenders for 13 STPs (328 MGD), Wazirabad upgrades, tariff and metering reforms, and measures to enforce rainwater harvesting and reduce non-revenue water.
