Delhi Urban Development Minister Ashish Sood said a 20-member committee including Delhi Police, MCD, DDA and university representatives will review regulation and management of PG accommodations, student safety, structural and fire compliance, and mental health concerns. The panel has 60 days to report recommendations; measures include a database portal, expanded facilities for out-of-city students, and redesigning DU hostels under the new Master Plan.
