At the 2025 Better Cotton Conference in Izmir, Turkey, the Better Cotton Initiative announced it now operates as a regenerative standard system, strengthening farmer support, stricter requirements, capacity building and improved impact measurement. BCI acquired the Co:Farm platform for field data, and launched a Gujarat project with H&M training over 12,000 farmers and linking 1,700 tonnes of traceable lint.
