Congress MP Jairam Ramesh criticized the government's decision to form a NITI Aayog task force to evaluate reviving the Formula One Grand Prix at Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, alleging cronyism and preferential incentives benefiting the Modani group. The task force, chaired by Yugal Kishore Joshi, will assess feasibility, taxation, infrastructure needs, investment benefits, and recommend policy and PPP models for motorsport development.
