Ashwini Vaishnaw, Electronics and IT Minister, rebutted Bloomberg columnist Andy Mukherjee's claim that India cannot match China's mobile manufacturing. He defended the PLI scheme, citing Rs 19,000 crore in incentives, Rs 25,000 crore in tax receipts and Rs 3 lakh crore GST collections, and said electronics manufacturing has created 2.5 million jobs, 1.2 million in mobile production.
