Can a picture make healthy food irresistible to teens?

An ICMR-NIN study of 203 Indian adolescents found that presenting healthy foods as attractive 'foodporn' images on Instagram increased willingness to try them. Millet porridge and boiled chana salad elicited about 50% and 10% more positive responses, respectively. Visual appeal influenced attitudes and intentions, while adding nutrition text had little effect; actual behaviour change was not established.
