Two olive ridley sea turtles have made history by nesting on California beaches, marking the first documented natural sea turtle nesting on the US West Coast. Scientists say unusually warm ocean waters linked to a super El Niño may have influenced their northward journey. The nests will be monitored as researchers study whether this is a one-off event or a sign of a changing range.
