Security forces conducted Operation Ashdar in Yusmarg, Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir, killing Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Yasir in a major counter-terror action, local officials said. Jammu and Kashmir Police identified Yasir as a Pakistani national linked to the banned group. Joint security forces recovered an AK-series rifle and other war-like stores from the slain militant during the operation.
